At the Centennial of the Gallipoli Victory and Its Consequences/ July 27, 2015

The 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli Victory was celebrated with a painting exhibition and conference in Yalova. The event, organized in collaboration between the Halil İnalcık Institute for Ottoman History Research and Yalova Municipality, took place at the City Museum. The program commenced with the opening of an exhibition featuring previously unreleased photographs of the Gallipoli Victory, provided by the Ali Emiri National Manuscripts Library. The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the exhibition was attended by Prof. Dr. Cemalettin Taşkıran from the Halil İnalcık Institute for Ottoman History Research, Melek Gençboyacı, the Director of the Ali Emiri National Manuscripts Library, and Halit Güleç, the Deputy Mayor of Yalova. Prior to the program, Hasan Soygüzel, the General Secretary of the Halil İnalcık Institute for Ottoman History Research, expressed gratitude to the Ali Emiri National Manuscripts Library, stating that the event was organized in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli Victory.
